Delivery

At Dream Factory Beds, we aim to make delivery as simple and straightforward as possible. Our beds, mattresses and furniture are handcrafted to order, so please read the information below before placing your order — especially if you have access restrictions, live above ground floor level, or require any optional services.

Where We Deliver

We deliver to most mainland UK addresses.

We currently do not deliver to:

  • Northern Ireland
  • Republic of Ireland
  • Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly
  • Scottish islands and other offshore islands
  • Any address outside mainland UK

If you are unsure whether we can deliver to your address, please contact us before placing your order.

Delivery Times

  • Most orders are delivered within 3–10 working days, with many arriving in 3–4 working days where possible.
  • In rare cases where materials are unavailable, delivery may take up to 28 working days.
  • If your order contains multiple items, delivery is normally based on the item with the longest lead time.

Delivery times may be affected during busy periods, Bank Holidays, peak seasons, courier delays, manufacturing delays, weather conditions, or other circumstances outside our control. If there is a delay, we will keep you informed.

Made-to-Order Production

  • All beds and mattresses are handcrafted to order.
  • We hold most materials in stock to begin production quickly.
  • Minor variations in finish, size or fabric colour may occur — this is normal and part of our bespoke process.

Delivery Charges

We offer free delivery to most UK mainland addresses.

Surcharge Areas

Some postcodes require an additional delivery surcharge. Any applicable charge will be shown at checkout before you complete your order. Orders will not be dispatched until the surcharge payment has been confirmed.

Delivery Scheduling

  • Once your order is ready, our delivery team or courier will contact you directly.
  • You will receive a booking confirmation and an AM or PM time slot, normally 24–48 hours before delivery.
  • Deliveries are completed by a professional two-person team where available.
  • Weekend delivery may be available in some areas, subject to courier availability and any additional cost. Available dates will be shown at checkout where applicable.

Room of Choice Delivery

Our service is designed to deliver your item to your room of choice wherever access is safe and suitable. Please make sure staircases, hallways, doorways and the room itself are clear before delivery.

Flats and Properties Above Ground Floor

  • Delivery is available up to the second floor by stairs.
  • Above the second floor, lift access is normally required.
  • Delivery may be affected by stair access, lift access, building rules, parking restrictions or health and safety considerations.
  • Delivery is considered complete at the doorway of your chosen room. We are not liable for damage to property or items beyond reasonable care during delivery.

Measuring Before Delivery

Please measure carefully before placing your order. This includes doorways, staircases, hallways, lifts, turning spaces and the room where the item will be placed.

If delivery cannot be completed because the item does not fit, the order may need to be returned and additional charges may apply. Delivery charges and optional service fees may be non-refundable in this situation.

Delivery Restrictions

Please let us know in advance if there are any restrictions that may affect your delivery, including:

  • Narrow staircases or hallways
  • Restricted parking or low bridges
  • No lift access in upper-floor properties
  • Gated access, difficult roads or rural locations
  • Building entry rules or time restrictions

Letting us know in advance helps confirm the best arrangement and reduces the risk of delays, failed delivery or additional charges.

Changing Your Delivery Date

If you need to change your delivery date, please contact us as soon as possible. Changes are normally only possible before the courier cut-off period. If a delivery is changed too late, or after the courier has already planned the route, a cancellation, redelivery or failed delivery fee may apply.

Missed Deliveries

Someone must be available at the delivery address to receive and sign for the order. We do not deliver to unattended properties. If nobody is available when the courier arrives, a redelivery or failed delivery fee may apply. We will help arrange the next available slot with the courier.

Optional Services

Professional Assembly

  • £39.99 per order
  • Must be selected at checkout when purchasing an eligible item

Old Bed and Mattress Removal / Recycling

  • £49.99 — single item (mattress or bed)
  • £59.99 — full set
  • Must be selected when purchasing a new eligible item; not available as a standalone service
  • Items being removed must be clean, dry and dismantled where required, ready for collection at the time of delivery
  • For hygiene reasons, items must be in a condition suitable for donation or recycling

We strongly recommend that you do not dispose of your existing bed or mattress until your new item has been successfully delivered and checked.

Checking Your Order on Delivery

Please check your order carefully when it arrives. If there is any visible damage, missing item or wrong item:

  • Refuse delivery if the item is significantly damaged, or
  • Sign as "damaged received" if accepting with minor issues
  • Contact us within 24 hours of delivery, including your order number, photos of the item and packaging, and a brief description of the issue

Returns

Under your statutory right to cancel, items can be returned within 14 days of delivery. If we arrange collection, the direct collection cost will be deducted from your refund unless the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described. You may also arrange your own return at your own cost.

Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and in a condition suitable for return. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or within 14 days of receiving proof that you have returned them, whichever is earlier.
